"This, bar none, is one of the best locations we've ever had," smiled NRA Range Master Michael Johns, turning to survey the adults and kids lining up to take their shots at the Pyramyd Air Air Gun Range at the first day of 2016's NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits.
With over a dozen shooting stations, each manned by a range officer to offer the ultimate in safety and instuction, the Pyramyd Air Air Gun Range offers attendees the chance to sit down, relax and indulge in a little "trigger therapy" while they're still on the exhibit hall show floor. In years past, the air gun range has been located in conference rooms off the show floor, but this year, it's right there in the middle of the hall, right across from the Taurus booth. (With plenty of backstop and safety precautions, it's just as safe as it is convenient.) There are tons of different air rifles to try, many of which are new at this show. Even better, it's free to all show attendees!
"This is also the most complex target set-up we've ever had," mused Johns. "We've got a little 'choo-choo' train that carries targets back and forth, as well as these innovative Targabot targets." I turned to look, and sure enough: A series of robotic targets move and rotate in unpredictable ways to give the shooters a real thrill.
"Targabot actually donated four of those to us for use at this show," enthused Johns. "People really seem to enjoy them." (They're available for sale at booth #4158.)
Coming to the 2016 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits? Don't miss the Pyramyd Air Air Gun Range--your kids as well as your feet will thank you!
