Modern, discerning 1911 fans will be thrilled to learn about Springfield Armory's latest addition to their 1911 TRP line of semi-automatic handguns: the TRP 10mm-RMR 5". This hardy, feature-rich 1911-style pistol comes complete with a factory-installed Trijicon RMR (which stands for Ruggedized Miniature Reflex) sight, but that's not the end of this firearm's user-friendly sighting system. A set of raised tritium night sights can actually be co-witnessed in conjunction with the Trijicon RMR, which allows for rapid sight-picture acquisition in just about any conditions or lighting. What's more, this beautiful handgun's speed trigger, bilateral extended safety levers and 18.5-pound recoil spring makes this pistol easy and pleasant to shoot (despite the rather "sharp" reputation that the 10mm chambering has).

Naturally, a premier handgun mounted with a premier optic (such as the Trijicon RMR) isn't going to be exactly inexpensive...but given this handgun's exceptional accuracy, beauty and durability, many shooters will find its MSRP of approximately $2,500 quite reasonable! For more information on this gun, check out this video from American Rifleman's Brian Sheetz. (And don't miss out on their archives of NRA Guns of the Week!)
