Federal Ammunition recently demonstrated their commitment to ensuring that the next generation of hunters and shooters receives the support they need. Although Federal does this in many ways, today's news is about their sponsorship commitment to a fantastic program: the Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors program. Pass It On is dedicated to giving at-risk kids chances to experience the great outdoors they may not have had otherwise.

Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors helps these children by partnering with state fish and wildlife agencies, conservation organizations and youth organizations to give the kids outdoor opportunities they would not have had otherwise. “Too many children today never get the chance to experience the great outdoors we all know and love. When you hear a youngster say they’ve never seen a cow or been on a dirt road, you know we must step up our efforts to get these children opportunities to get outdoors,” said Pass It On President Mike Christensen.

According to Christensen, this ongoing partnership with Federal Ammunition has allowed Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors to coordinate over 200 hunts this year alone ... with more on the way. Over 500 kids have been able to enjoy these carefully guided outdoor opportunities. “We are excited to see how many more youth we can get out hunting and fishing with Federal’s continued support,” added Christensen.
“Our Shooting Sports Outreach program has more than doubled in size and scope over the last year, and we did that in spite of the COVID pandemic. We are only able to make these aggressive strides due to the support of our sponsors, like Federal Ammunition.”

“These investments, such as our sponsorship with Pass It On, are efforts made to help conserve our hunting and shooting sports heritage, ensuring future generations will enjoy the great outdoors,” said Jon Zinnel, Federal Ammunition’s Youth Shooting Sports Manager.

Together with like-minded conservation and youth participation efforts like Big Brothers Big Sisters, Pheasants Forever, the National Shooting Sports Foundation, Delta Waterfowl, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the National Wild Turkey Federation, among others, volunteers with a passion for the outdoors can give a child the chance to go fish, hunt, or simply spend time in the fields with a caring adult. Want to get involved? Please visit http://www.outdoormentors.org.
