The dead have risen, and it's up to you to stop the zombie pandemic.
Since 2012, Hornady Manufacturing has sponsored a special 3-gun match near their home base in Grand Island, Nebraska, dedicated to offering a fun competitive shooting event. It's called "Zombies In the Heartland," and the 2016 match is shaping up to be the best yet. This year's theme is "Candidate Z: The Republic Rises," and it will offer 10 competitive stages with zombie-themed targets. Using rifles, shotguns and handguns, you'll have the opportunity to stop the shambling undead in their tracks. The event, which is open to the public, will take place June 2-5, 2016, at the Heartland Public Shooting Park in Grand Island, Nebraska. Shooter registration begins on April 4, 2016 with a live link posted to the Zombies in the Heartland website between 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm CST. Registration is $325, which includes the match, gift bags, lunches for all three days and a prize table for the winners. (The 2014 match's prize table was valued at a quarter of a million dollars!)
“We created this match to be fun for shooters of all skill levels and experience,” said Jeremy Millard, Zombie Match Director. With a fun, challenging course of fire, Zombies in the Heartland 2016 promises to attract shooters from all over the country. “Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just a beginner, you will enjoy Zombies in the Heartland and I encourage everyone to join us!” Millard added.
