It's hard to pick a "best thing" about the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits; there's just so much family fun to be found around every corner that it's impossible to choose a favorite. That said, one of the best things about this yearly NRA Family reunion is that there are so many opportunities to hear from world-renowned experts in everything guns, hunting and self-defense. Even better is the fact that these seminars are free. Whether you're just looking for some entertainment while you rest your feet or the seminar's your main goal at the "NRA Show," you'll find something that interests you. There are dozens of seminars from which to choose, but here are four we don't want to miss!

Mental Dynamics of Shooting (Speaker Gabby Franco)

Room: 350DEF

Saturday, May 28, 2022:1:15 PM -2:15 PM

This seminar, taught by Olympian shooter Gabby Franco, focuses on the cognitive processes that happen while shooting. Gabby teaches how to be aware of weaknesses and reinforce strengths to help shooters understand their performance. Shooting is a discipline with simple techniques, yet they seem complex when filtered through the power of the mind—shooting, like many sports, requires mental preparation to improve consistency and accuracy.

Refuse To Be A Victim: Crime Prevention Series (Speaker Captain Edward O'Carroll)

Refuse To Be A Victim (RTBAV) Executive Counselor Ed O'Carroll stands at the head of a packed room and explains gently, "This is your decision, what you're going to do in a criminal confrontation. What we're going to be doing is giving you information that will help you create your own safety program." O'Carroll, a national trainer, has been teaching RTBAV to standing-room-only houses for over a decade. In that time, he's seen the program grow to help over 100,000 people develop a home- and self-defense strategy that works for their families. Expect plenty of Q&A time!

Bullet Proof Mind For The Armed Citizen (Speaker Lt. Col. Dave Grossman)

Lt. Col. Dave Grossman, co-author of Glenn Beck’s book Control: Exposing the Truth About Guns, and Author of the book On Combat and several others, gives his special presentation on mental and physical preparedness for the armed citizen. Grossman will speak about your role as an Armed American Citizen in the future challenges to our nation. Hear about the potential threats, internal or external, and the response to those threats as intended by our Founding Fathers. Grossman will also discuss how to prevent PTSD and to be physically and emotionally triumphant after an armed encounter.

Top 5 Mistakes Concealed Carriers Make In Real Gunfights (Speaker John Correia)

John Correia is the owner of Active Self Protection and is known for running the most-viewed YouTube channel in the world related to self-defense. He is a master firearms instructor, empty-handed skills instructor, certified force science analyst, expert witness, student of pro-social applied violence, husband, father and follower of the Way of Jesus. From analyzing tens of thousands of actual gunfights, Correia will focus on avoiding negative outcomes in defensive encounters by highlighting the top 5 errors made by private citizens in real gunfights to keep from making those errors ourselves should we have to defend ourselves and our loved ones with a firearm.
