Pheasants may not have originated in America, but unlike other introduced species, these colorful (and delicious) game birds once did so well in our ecology that we now treat them as native and apply the same conservation principles to them as we do other wild-winged American birds. Over time, however, pheasant populations declined due to habitat loss ... and now, a group called Pheasants Forever works tirelessly to conserve pheasants, quail and other wildlife through habitat improvements, public access, education and conservation advocacy. But they can't do it alone ... and that's where Silencer Central comes in.
Pheasants Forever was established in 1982 by a group of passionate hunters; ever since, the organization has been at the forefront of wildlife habitat conservation. However, the kind of research and boots-on-the-ground action that's needed isn't free. Because the folks at Silencer Central are dedicated hunters and conservationists themselves, they've made supporting Pheasants Forever a big priority.
How does it work? Simply and quietly, of course! The company donates suppressors to conservation organizations to auction or raffle or door prize items. A full 100% of funds generated go directly to the organizations, with event hosts helping educate their members about the benefits of suppressors, including noise and recoil reduction.
“The ongoing partnership between Pheasants Forever and Silencer Central remains crucial in driving forward upland conservation efforts," said Brandon Maddox, CEO of Silencer Central. "We take pride in our continued dedication to promoting habitat conservation and wildlife advocacy, united by our common mission.”
“Our partnership with Silencer Central has helped raise critical funds for volunteer chapters to improve wildlife habitat in their local communities,” said Luc Ramthun, senior corporate partnerships account executive for Pheasants Forever. “We’re grateful for the company’s focus on sustaining quality habitat for the future of upland traditions.”
