Kellen Findley is a two-year old boy in Dozier, Alabama, who was recently diagnosed with Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma (ERMS). Rhabdomyosarcoma is a cancer made up of cells that normally develop into skeletal muscles. ERMS is a type of rhabdomyosarcoma that affects children with in their first five years of life and, despite the age of the child, the cells affected by this cancer are as developed as the muscle cells of a six- to eight-week-old embryo. It’s going to be a tough battle for Kellen, he will need to go through 42 cancer treatments—but with the support of his amazing family and Henry Repeating Arms we’re hoping he makes a full recovery.

When Kellen’s Uncle, Jay Findley, learned of his nephew’s cancer he was devastated and he knew he needed to do something to help him. Jay and his wife decided a benefit auction would be the best way to raise money for the costs associated with the many treatments Kellen will need to fight this cancer. Enter Henry Repeating Arms. As a fan of their rifles and fully aware of philanthropic history of the company, Jay reached out to Henry President Anthony Imperato who immediately responded by donating 42 Henry Golden Boy “Fight Like A Kid” Tribute Edition .22 caliber rifles.

The very first of the Tribute Edition rifles, the “Golden Boy” will be available on Gun Broker (auction # 532360390). The rifle’s serial number is KELLEN01 and has the special “Fight Like A Kid” logo and lettering engraved on the butt stock. In addition, the highest bidder will receive a Certificate of Authenticity and a Letter of Appreciation from Mr. Imperato. The opening bid for the Golden Boy starts at $420 or a Buy Now price of $4,200.

“We have been continually amazed by the generosity and devotion to helping others that has been shown by America’s gun owners, particularly the more than 3 million dedicated GunBroker.com users,” Mr. Imperato said. “When I suggested the $4,200 “Buy Now” price, a few folks thought I was overly optimistic. ‘You just watch,’ I told them.”

The remaining rifles will all be engraved with the “Fight Like A Kid” logo and lettering and have special serial numbers of KELLEN02 to KELLEN42.

We hope this auction brings in the funds to help cover the costs Kellen’s 42 cancer treatments. There is nothing like being a kid and Kellen should spend his days worrying about getting the best swing at recess and really nothing else.
