The music of the night: A nocturne is a song composed to evoke nighttime, and most of them are rather soothing. Others, like CZ's brand-new P-09 NOCTURNE semi-automatic, hammer-fired pistol, make a more staccato tune. This latest innovation in CZ's P-09 family of polymer-framed pistols in the CZ P-09 family, the NOCTURNE is a unique 9mm firearm created specifically for self-defense ... regardless of the time of day. Designed with improved ergonomics and texture, the NOCTURNE retains everything you love from the highly successful CZ P-07 and CZ P-09, but with new features.

Available in both compact and full-sized versions, the NOCTURNE's sights comprise a contrast and luminescent 3-dot sight picture, ensuring quick and accurate target acquisition all sorts of lighting. Enhanced front and rear cocking serrations improve the ease of manipulating the slide, while the redesigned slide stop offers easier control and handling. Every ergonomic detail has been meticulously engineered. Safety is, of course, paramount and the NOCTURNE doesn't disappoint with interchangeable, ambidextrous safety levers and manual safety to decock.

These days, no new defensive pistol is truly complete without the ability to install an optic. So, of course, the CZ P-09 NOCTURNE has a new Optics Ready interface, compatible with Shield RMS and Holosun K footprints, which allows you to easily mount a reflex optic. The CZ P-09 NOCTURNE also boasts a new texture pattern on the grip for a secure hold, even in rain or sweaty-palmed stress conditions.

The size and weight of the NOCTURNE depends upon the model chosen. The compact version is 5.4" high and 7.3"long, weighing in a 26.8 oz. The full-size version is 5.9" high and 8.2" long, with a weight of 29.2 oz. The relative capacities are 15+1 and 19+1, for plenty of firepower regardless of model. MSRP $549; CZ-USA.com.
