Ever since it was introduced 25 years ago, Henry USA's Golden Boy rifle has been one of the world's most popular lever-action rimfires. Dressed in polished brass and revered for its reliability and accuracy, it's a gun that performs as well in a glass case as it does on small game ... and that's quite well indeed. Now, Henry's releasing a revolver--its first-ever rimfire revolver--worthy of the Golden Boy name. The goal? Increasing your smiles-per-dollar, of course!
This 10-shot wheelgun is chambered in .22 S/L/LR (meaning that any one of those .22-cal. chamberings will work). Its action is a traditional double-action. There are currently two grip configurations: squared Gunfighter-style grips for maximum control; or, a more compact, rounded Birdshead-style grip for better concealment, should you wish to employ this handgun for CCW.
That said, many shooters won't want to conceal this beauty. It's crafted from the same materials as its rifle namesake, with a deeply blued steel medium-size frame, genuine American walnut grip panels ... and that iconic polished Golden Boy brass on the backstrap and trigger guard.
Both models share a 4” round blued steel barrel and a familiar sight system composed of a fixed notch cut directly into the rear of the frame and three different screw-in blade sights to adjust for elevation. All revolvers are relatively simple to clean, but the Golden Boy is even more so. The cylinder has been optimized to make cleaning and maintenance extremely simple, courtesy of an inventive quick takedown button inside the trigger guard.
“It’s high time our flagship rifle had a bonafide revolver companion, and I’m proud to stamp the Henry name on what the team put together,” says Anthony Imperato, Founder and CEO of Henry Repeating Arms. “Providing our customers with the most smiles per dollar is paramount to everything we do.”
The MSRP for both Henry Golden Boy Revolver versions is $928.00; HenryUSA.com.
