Hornady Manufacturing's latest offering, its all-new 25 Creedmoor, has just been approved by the Sporting Arms and Manufacturing Institute (SAAMI), and it's heading to dealers now! Created for long-range shooters and hunters, the 25 Creedmoor continues the legacy of the Creedmoor family of cartridges.
In fact, Hornady's new 25 Creedmoor is the first SAAMI-accepted .25-caliber cartridge that was explicitly designed to take full advantage of the sleek, low-drag bullets that are now available. Consumer ammunition offerings will feature bullets selected to deliver exceptional performance.
This cartridge is new from Hornady, but at-home reloaders will be more familiar. "Wildcatters" have been creating variants of the 25 Creedmoor for years, because it offers a competitive advantage. Now, non-reloaders can have that same level of performance with a factory-produced ammo offering.
“The 25 Creedmoor is the end result of our constant pursuit of maximizing ballistic potential.” said Jayden Quinlan, Senior Ballistician at Hornady. “This cartridge fills that competitive niche between 6mm and 6.5mm ... providing shooters the absolute best blend of moderate recoil, flat trajectory, and superior wind resistance,” he said.
The 25 Creedmoor will be available in 25 Creedmoor 128 gr. ELD-X Precision Hunter and 25 Creedmoor 134 gr. ELD Match. Visit Hornady.com for more information, or to find a dealer.
