The over/under shotgun is a mainstay for clay games shooters and upland bird hunters, but it does have a reputation for being a pricey investment. If you're looking to take your scattergun shooting to a new level but don't have a couple thousand dollars to spare right now, we've received some great news from Legacy Sports International: They've introduced the ACRIUS Over Under series. Available in full-size models now with youth models to follow in the coming weeks, the ACRIUS o/u line will feature four gauges in the adult line and two in the youth line. Best of all, the MSRP is a jaw-dropping and extremely affordable $589.

As we've seen in the past with budget-friendly firearms from Legacy, the ACRIUS--which is a new addition to Legacy's POINTER series--was created with exceptional craftsmanship for an attractive and highly reliable shotgun. Boasting a walnut stock, extractor, raised vent rib, crisp mechanical trigger, chrome-lined barrels and the shot-to-shot consistency you expect from shotguns whose price tags have more zeroes than the ACRIUS'.

The adult-size models, which are already available at retailers like Guns International, come in several popular gauges: 12, 20, 28 and .410 bore. The youth models that are coming soon will be available in 20 gauge and .410 bore. The compact ACRIUS models are of particular interest to short-statured shooters such as women and juniors, because having a first shotgun that fits properly is a prescription for a pleasant and successful introduction to the sport of scattergun shooting.
