Looking for a tough, tactical flashlight to add to your everyday carry (EDC) rig, or to take into the woods with you? We're excited to learn about the P86 from Nextorch, an extremely bright flashlight that also boasts an earsplitting whistle for emergency signaling ... or emergency deterrence of a human or animal threat. At a touch over 6" (or 160mm), this compact light produces 1600 lumens. To give you an idea of how bright that is, such a light should be easily visible at 300 yards or so.

Then there's the P86's whistle. It's not just any whistle. It's an electronic whistle with 360-degree sound output, and that sound will radiate out at 120 decibels (dB) with the simple press of a button. To give you an idea of how loud that is, 120 dB is the point at which sound becomes painful to human ears.

The white light switch allows the user to access high, medium and low settings. To operate, half-press the white light button for momentary high mode, and full-press for constant-on medium mode. In constant-on mode, a half-press of the button will allow you to cycle through all illumination modes.

The P86 flashlight offers incredible battery life: 60 hours in low mode, 6.5 hours in medium and 2 hours in high. A convenient, multipurpose LED battery status indicator located adjacent to the operation buttons gives you remaining battery life at a glance. It also shows the status while charging. The onboard hidden USB-C charging port is waterproof and dustproof, and it comes standard with one 18650 Li-ion battery.

This professional, robust illumination and noise making tool is crafted from 6061-T6 aerospace-grade aluminum. Its impact-resistant, coated tempered glass lens is surrounded by a grey titanium strike bezel embedded with nano-ceramic beads for a strength second only to diamond. Engineered for emergency, security and personal defense, the P86 can survive in the harshest environments, also making it an excellent choice for hunting, fishing and camping, or as a trusty illumination companion for everyday adventures. MSRP $85; Nextorch.com.
