It's big news, even if it's hard to pronounce: As of right now, you can once again buy a Walther Polizeipistole! That's just German for "police pistol," and it's perfectly acceptable to call it a Walther PP ... and it's not just for cops anymore. The original was first introduced nearly a century ago in 1929, and it quickly became a favorite among LEOs and civilians alike here and overseas. Sleek, comfortable to handle and extremely reliable, the PP was the bedrock on which Walther's house of guns was built.

Eventually, the PP was discontinued in favor of the generations of firearms that followed it, but neither Walther nor the world's shooters forgot it. Now, the Walther PP has been reintroduced with modern enhancements and materials that honor its storied past, while delivering the reliability and performance that Walther is known for today. So it may not be exactly new, but it's definitely new for 2024!

Staying true to its original, elegant look and feel, the new Walther PP is available in both .380 ACP and .32 ACP, which are both classic defensive calibers. Every aspect of the new Walther PP reflects the attention to detail and commitment to quality for which Walther is famous. From the precision-machined components to the meticulously finished surfaces, this firearm is as much a work of art as it is a tool for self-defense.

The fixed-barrel blowback-operated design is also true to the original, which was patented by Carl Walther and has stood the test of time. It also incorporates a rotating safety/decocker mechanism, which allows you to safely decock the pistol without pulling the trigger, enhancing overall safety and confidence.

"We are incredibly excited to bring back the Walther PP, a firearm that holds a special place in the history of our company and in the hearts of shooters worldwide," said Rob McCanna, President and CEO of Walther Arms, Inc. "This new version of the PP honors its classic design while incorporating modern advancements that make it a truly exceptional firearm for today’s shooters. Whether for personal defense, collection, or historical appreciation, the Walther PP offers unmatched quality, precision, and performance." MSRP $969; WaltherArms.com.
