Savage Arms is all about bringing home the bacon ... er, venison, bear and wild boar ... and so is Farming the Wild's Mike Robinson. Together, they've created a new-for-2024 rifle based on the iconic 110 platform and purpose-built as a big-game tackdriver: the 110 Pro Pursuit Rifle (PPR). Although the two names "Savage" and "Farming the Wild" lead the marquee, there are other seriously famous actors at play too.

The 110 PPR starts with the foundation of Savage's time-tested and well-loved 110, of course. From there, its lightweight stainless-steel receiver is coated with Magpul OD Green Cerakote for durability and rust resistance. Then Savage added a 20" Proof Research carbon-fiber-wrapped stainless-steel barrel, which delivers exceptional accuracy with less weight. Grayboe Phoenix was tapped for the stock, which is also remarkably lightweight ... not to mention that it's also decked out in earth-toned camouflage and black web.

The bolt body is new, too, with a fluted design and a Blackout Cerakote coating. Yes, that's important; that Blackout Cerakote reduces friction, which in turn boosts the rifle's overall performance. The upgraded bolt head utilizes dual extractors with an enhanced extractor for reliability, even in the most challenging conditions. The bolt handle is threaded and features a knurled bolt knob that ensures quick and easy operation, even with gloves on.

Even the most complete rifle often calls for a bit of customization, and the 110 PPR has you covered with an M-Lok bottom rail on the forend. For further versatility, Savage includes a 20 MOA one-piece scope rail and flush QD cup adapters for slings. The user-adjustable AccuTrigger allows for a precise and personalized trigger pull, ranging from 1.5 to 4 pounds. The Omniport Muzzlebrake with 5/8x24 threading reduces recoil, allowing for faster follow-up shots. The 110 PPR is available now in nine of America's favorite hunting calibers, including 308 Win., 6.5 PRC and more.

"We are thrilled to partner with Mike Robinson on the development of the 110 PPR. The heart of this rifle lies in its meticulous design tailored for the unique challenges of being in the field in pursuit of big game," said Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing at Savage Arms. "Mike's vast hunting experience across Europe and around the world means he understands the lifestyle and needs better than most. His input on this rifle helped deliver an accurate, advanced package with premium components that will excel in realistic hunting conditions and also endure taxing days in the field." MSRP $2,399; SavageArms.com.
