Name a more iconic whitetail rifle than the Savage 110 ... we'll wait! The latest addition to the wildly popular 110 line is the 110 Trail Hunter Lite. Putting the hunter's needs foremost, the 110 Trail Hunter was created to offer a lightweight, comfortable and reliable rifle that won't give up until you do.

Like all Savage 110s, the Trail Hunter Lite features the company's unparalleled AccuTrigger, which consistently matches or outperforms aftermarket triggers. It also boasts full-coverage Hogue overmolded rifle stocks to provide outstanding performance and grip in all conditions. Speaking of all conditions, the Cerakote ceramic coating on the barreled action helps to seal out the worst that Mother Nature can dish out.

As for weight, that varies a bit from model to model; after all, the 110 Hunter Lite is offered in 15 popular calibers. However, the weight variation is fairly minimal. The .270 Win. version is 7.26 pounds, for example, while the .400 LEGEND chambering is 7.05 lbs ... but all of them can fairly be termed lightweight!

The 110 Trail Hunter Lite features a button-rifled barrel, detachable box magazine, a three-position tang safety and two-piece Weaver-style bases. Two sling swivel studs round out the package.

“We are very excited to introduce the next evolution of the 110 Trail Hunter as Savage continues to bolster its lineup of firearms designed for hunters,” said Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing at Savage Arms. “The 110 Trail Hunter Lite is another great partnership with Hogue and brings all of the toughness of the original 110 Trail Hunter, with decreased weight to ensure it’s easier to carry afield.” MSRP $656-$669, depending upon model chosen; SavageArms.com.
