Ruger Sr1911 Red Barn

This year, Ruger turned 75 years old, and in celebration, the company invites you to take a walk down memory lane with its SR1911 “Street Edition” series. This series of five limited-edition engraved models of the SR1911 pistol celebrates Ruger’s long history of firearms innovation with a pistol that was absolutely state-of-the-art 75 years ago ... and for many, still is!

The first of the "Street Edition" series is affectionately dubbed the "Red Barn" model, in celebration of the building in which Ruger began ... which was (as you may imagine) affectionately dubbed the "Red Barn." Each pistol in the series will feature its own unique grip color; this one is, naturally, red.

While common design elements connect the series, each pistol represents its own Ruger facility. From "1 Lacey Place" in Southport, Connecticut; "411 Sunapee St." in Newport, New Hampshire; "271 Cardwell Rd." in Mayodan, North Carolina; and "200 Ruger Rd." in Prescott, Arizona. Each address is engraved at the top of the slide.

These lightweight Commander-style pistols are chambered in the time-tested .45 Auto and boast a 4.25" stainless-steel barrel. The slide is similarly made of stainless steel. This is where the beauty of these limited-edition firearms is most on display. The slide is engraved in fine detail, complete with the Ruger logo and an American bald eagle. Drift adjustable, Novak 3-Dot sights allow for quick and easy target acquisition.

Production of each model is limited to 500 serialized pistols. The Red Barn model is expected to ship in November 2024, with further models to come as the year closes. For more, visit Ruger.com.
