undefinedOnce again, the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) has displayed its commitment to bringing new shooters into the sport with a donation of $416,000 to the MidwayUSA Foundation. This investment in the future of shooting will benefit over 50 youth shooting teams that have an active Team Endowment Account with the MidwayUSA Foundation.

"The future of our hunting heritage depends upon us bringing new individuals into the sport. One of the first steps to creating a new hunter is getting them involved in shooting sports," said George Thornton, NWTF CEO. "If we get people outside participating in something exciting and new, we are making incredible strides in the right direction." The National Wild Turkey Federation is a national nonprofit organization that is dedicated to the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservations of our hunting heritage.

The MidwayUSA Foundation helps communities and organizations raise funds to support their youth shooting teams and activities. Teams with an active Team Endowment Account can draw up to 5 percent of their account balance each year to use for team expenses, such as ammunition, competition entry fees, travel, uniforms and more. Larry Potterfield, owner of MidwayUSA and founder of the MidwayUSA Foundation said, "Working together increases the likelihood of continued financial success for these teams and the conservation chapter gets the opportunity to get even more involved with the kids." This donation not only allows both organizations to accomplish their mission, but also brings youth involved in shooting sports closer to sustainable support.
