The Bergara BMR-X Steel, on the other hand, boasts all the same features of the Carbon, but with one important difference: a heavy #6 profile steel barrel that brings the gun's weight up to 6.6 lbs. The BMR-X Steel is designed for competitive and target shooting. Because it only needs to be carried from stage to stage, that extra weight doesn't hamper the shooter at all. Instead, it provides stability for steady, consistent shots, making it ideal for rimfire series competitions.
Like the Carbon, the BMR-X Steel has a BXR-inspired stock that gives the shooter an adjustable LOP, a vertical grip and flat forend, providing the same ergonomic feel as Bergara’s full-size precision rifles at a more accessible price.
