Heckler & Koch, affectionately referred to as H&K, has just released its new-for-2025 CC9 pistol. This micro-compact, striker-fired semi-auto was designed in Germany by H&K engineers, but built entirely in the United States, with American labor. The CC9 also marks the first official product made at the Heckler & Koch facility in Columbus, Ga., meaning that it doesn't have to conform to German firearm export laws or U.S. firearm import laws (like all of Heckler & Koch's previous firearms). And yes, that's a good thing!
You see, the CC9 is held to the same standards as the company's full-size duty pistols and tested to the NATO Army Armaments Group AC/225 standards. The CC9 was subjected to a battery of tests including extreme temperatures, dust, sand, mud and being dropped to simulate real-world conditions. Built to HKs’ renowned durability standards, the CC9 had over 750,000 thousand rounds fired during development and testing.
With an overall length of 6" and a width just under 1", this handgun comes with two magazines: a 10-rounder for a shorter height, and a 12-rounder for increased capacity and to create a bit more finger room on the gun for those with larger hands.
In this great video featuring Shooting Illustrated editor-in-chief Ed Friedman, you'll see just how H&K has succeeded in creating a pistol that balances concealability and shootability for a defensive firearm that's much more fun to shoot than you'd ever guess. MSRP $699; https://hk-usa.com/.
