Up until now, RETAY USA has been best known for its line of shotguns ... but 2025 is changing all that with the launch of the RXP 22, a training pistol that offers the feel of a 9mm semi-automatic handgun, but uses .22-caliber ammunition (at greatly reduced cost). With an aerospace-grade 7075 aluminum alloy internal frame and slide that's integrated into a polymer lower, the RXP 22's polymer frame is compact and boasts a textured grip. Weighted metal magazines help maintain balance.
Although it's a training gun, it does feature a slide that's drilled and tapped for RMR and RMSC optics as well as an integrated accessory mount for lights or lasers. This means that shooters can train with a firearm that's set up the same way as their 9mm. A precision-drilled, chrome-finished AISI 4140 steel barrel ensures top-tier accuracy ... and there will be a threaded configuration for muzzle devices as well. The gun comes out of the box with a TruGlo fiber optic front sight and a target-style adjustable rear sight.
This DA/SA hammer-fired pistol wasn't specifically designed for carry, but for range use. As such, its 1.5-lb. weight and 7.5" overall length offer stability and ease on the firing range.
“The RXP 22 is more than just a training pistol – it’s a testament to our dedication to delivering products that combine innovation, performance, and value,” commented Christian Handy, CEO of Banshee Brands, Inc. “We took a bold step forward in designing a firearm that ensures shooters can train better, shoot better, and have more fun. The RXP 22 truly sets a new standard for training pistols.”
The RXP 22 is available in a variety of Cerakote finishes, including OD Green, FDE, Sniper Grey, and Matte Black. MSRP not available at this time; visit RetayUSA.com for more.
