What can an NRA family do when they work together? Husband-and-wife team Adam and Andi Cloaninger prove the answer is "win, win, win!" Recently, the duo dominated the Gunwerks Sheep Mountain Shootout, one of the toughest shooting competitions out there. Adam secured first place in the Open Heavy class with 127 match points, while Andi followed closely behind, placing 1st among women and 8th overall in the Open Heavy class with 103 match points.
The Gunwerks Sheep Mountain Shootout, known for its rigorous and demanding nature, featured 18 stages designed to test even the most experienced hunters. Competitors faced high-angle shots, difficult wind conditions and steep, complex terrain in Northern Wyoming. The average target distance was 400 yards with the longest reaching 1000 yards, challenging shooters’ skills and precision.
The Cloaningers are sponsored by Nosler, and they attribute much of their success to the equipment and ammo. Adam, equipped with a 6.5x47mm Lapua rifle featuring Nosler’s 140gr Reduced Drag Factor (RDF) bullets, and Andi, shooting a 6.5 Creedmoor loaded with Nosler’s 140-gr. Reduced Drag Factor (RDF), both showcased the performance and reliability of Nosler products throughout the competition.
