The COVID-19 pandemic may be coming to a close, but it seems that another contagion has begun to spread, right in our nation's heartland: Zombies are preparing to invade Nebraska once again! Hornady Manufacturing is calling for volunteers to head to the Heartland Public Shooting Park in Grand Island, Nebraska June 2-5, 2022, for a 3-Gun match that will keep us all safe from the shambling undead.

The Zombies in the Heartland 3-Gun Match is a tradition, although that tradition had to be suspended for the last two years due to "that other pandemic." It's marked by an unusual, challenging course of fire, which tends to attract shooters from all over America. Hornady changes it up each year, too; shooters will find new and reactive targets developed specifically for this match. Those breaking, falling, moving targets are (in fact) zombies in search of your brains. Participants fend them off with a pistol, rifle and shotgun ... or they can compete with pistol-caliber carbines and shotgun in the PCC Division.

Match registration opened February 1st. Slots are still available, but the match is filling up fast. Hotel rooms can be reserved at the Boarders Inn and Suites, 3333 Ramada Road, Grand Island, NE. Mention Zombies in the Heartland for reduced rates.

For complete event information and to register, visit the official Zombies in the Heartland website (registration link is at the bottom of the page); or follow the Zombies in the Heartland Facebook page.
