The new AXIS lineup is everything we love about the original AXIS, only so much more so. The biggest news is that Savage's legendary AccuTrigger (which wasn't available on the original line) is now part of the package. If you haven't experienced the AccuTrigger in person, you absolutely should head down to your local gun store and see about giving one a (SAFE) dry-fire. It's a factory trigger that will spoil you for all future factory triggers.
These rifles also include button-rifled barrels and thread-in head spacing. Savage updated the bolt handle with a sleek new ergonomic design that helps enhance your control and comfort during operation, especially in adverse conditions like rain or cold weather.
