The new AXIS lineup is everything we love about the original AXIS, only so much more so. The biggest news is that Savage's legendary AccuTrigger (which wasn't available on the original line) is now part of the package. If you haven't experienced the AccuTrigger in person, you absolutely should head down to your local gun store and see about giving one a (SAFE) dry-fire. It's a factory trigger that will spoil you for all future factory triggers.
These rifles also include button-rifled barrels and thread-in head spacing. Savage updated the bolt handle with a sleek new ergonomic design that helps enhance your control and comfort during operation, especially in adverse conditions like rain or cold weather. Whether a shooter prefers a full-size, compact or left-hand model, Savage Arms offers a new AXIS to fit their needs. The AXIS 2 XP combines the functionality of the AXIS XP with the performance of the user-adjustable AccuTrigger in the AXIS 2. It comes standard with a factory-mounted and bore-sighted 3-9x40 scope with fully multi-coated lenses and tool-less windage and elevation adjustments.
