Shooting Sports 101: What is NRL22?

Making a family-friendly competitive shooting sport even easier for NRA families to access!

What's NRL22? It's a way for NRA families and competitive shooters to get started in the exciting sport of precision shooting ... only using the .22LR caliber. The idea behind NRL22 is that although many shooters are fascinated by precision or long-range shooting, many--if not most--of us don't have ready access to a 1,000-yard range.

You see, 1,000 yards is literally "par for the course" for centerfire precision shooting! So the sport's organizer, the National Rifle League, simply dialed everything back to the tried-and-true .22 Long Rifle chambering. That's because, for a .22LR, the way you'd define long range would be 100 yards. And 100-yard ranges are relatively easy to find, making NRL22 a much more achievable sport for most Americans. In this great video from Savage Arms, you'll learn all about NRL22 and its low barrier of entry as well as the simple tools you'll need to get started. If you'd like to learn more about NRL22, please visit their website!
