Springfield Armory Sponsors Hillsdale College's New Shooting Team

Collegiate competitive shooting is becoming one of the hottest sports around, so it's only natural that the proud Constitutional scholars at Hillsdale College are building a world-class rifle and pistol shooting program--with a little help from their friends at Springfield Armory. If you're unfamiliar with Hillsdale, what's of particular interest about the college is that they decline all taxpayer funding--both direct and indirect--so that they have the freedom to teach their Constitutional curricula without interference. In fact, all Hillsdale undergraduates are required to take a class covering the Constitution...so all Hillsdale graduates are deeply familiar with the ways in which the Second Amendment protects the rest of the Bill of Rights. Declining government funding means that Hillsdale has to be judicious about spending, so it was a huge boon when Springfield Armory outfitted their entire team with XD-Ms and 1911s, free of charge to Hillsdale.
