At the 2017 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Atlanta, Georgia, Tetra Gun displayed their support for the next generation of hunters and shooters with a tremendous donation to NRA Youth Day and the NRA Youth Shooting Sports Ambassador Program. Tetra, a leading provider of firearms cleaning and maintenance products, ensured that the young shooting sports enthusiasts who participated in Youth Day got the most out of the day by donating products...but they didn't stop there. We recently spoke to Greg Cohen, Tetra's General Manager, to discuss their vision for supporting youth shooting programs in the future.

NRA Family: You recently made an extremely generous donation of Tetra Gun Care products to the NRA Youth Day at the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Atlanta. How did Tetra get involved with the Youth Day event?

Greg Cohen: Having formerly worked for the NRA, Tetra Gun Sales Manager Stephen Hoback had a great insider perspective on how worthy an investment that is. So, kicking off our support at NRA Youth Day during Annual Meeting was great timing.

NRA Family: In addition to your initial donation, you’ve also donated $30,000 worth of Tetra products to our Youth Programs partners: Boy Scouts of America, USA Shooting, Royal Rangers, National High School Rodeo Association and BSA Venturing. What motivated Tetra to do this?

Cohen: Since Tetra Gun was founded over 30 years ago, it is a mature brand. Looking forward, we know that young shooters are potential future customers. Not only can our presence pay long-term dividends, but it engages us with the NRA and what it stands for.

NRA Family: Are you a shooter? If so, what benefits have you gained from the shooting sports?

Cohen: I have been a recreational target shooter for many years, but the irony of working in the firearms industry is that it is difficult to make time to go to the range. So, when I can, I go. That time is precious because it helps me unwind, and it makes for quality time with my sons.

NRA Family: If you could say one thing to the next generation of shooting-sports enthusiasts, what would it be?

Cohen: More than ever, it is important to commit to putting your electronics down for a while, and participating in this great sport. You just can’t simulate the real thing.

We couldn't have said it better ourselves!
