"I used to be an accountant; I used to have a 9-to-5, and I absolutely hated it, so I quit."
Sierra Langbell, a hunter and outdoor photographer, has a story similar to so many of our own. From a less-than-ideal family situation to a drudging office job, life was feeling dark. The trouble is that it's hard to find the light when you're enclosed by four walls. Langbell's struggle began to improve when she left the darkness behind and stepped into the sunlight of the outdoors.
"Maybe you're in a dark spot now, but it does get better, and maybe you haven't found your passion yet, but there's something out there for you."
The need to get up early to hunt meant no more late nights. The need to stay sharp on the trail meant no more mind-altering substances. The need to take care of the environment led Langbell to take better care of herself.
