This Throwback Thursday, our friends at American Rifleman TV have a fascinating and informative video about the men and guns of D-Day ... and specifically, the men and guns of the 82nd Airborne Division. World War II was already in full swing when the United States joined the conflict, so the American invasion of Normandy was very much a matter of hitting the ground running. They called it Operation Boston, and with 6,420 troops, 370 C47 transport planes and two serious objectives, the men and guns of D-Day proved that the Axis powers could be stopped ... and would be.
