Video Review: Browning A5 Sweet Sixteen Semi-Auto Shotgun

Browning introduced the very first mass-produced semi-automatic shotgun a long time ago, so it only makes sense that they're reviving their line with a new 16-gauge offering that's very much a scattergun for the 21st century. Long thought of as the "gentleman's gauge," 16-gauges were revered as guns that "carried like a 20, but shot like a 12."

Over the years, the popularity of this gauge waned, but Browning sensed that its time might have come back around at last. In an installment of our sister publication American Hunter's regular "Sunday Gunday" feature, American Hunter online editor Shawn Skipper reviews and discusses the ancestry and performance of Browning's brand-new A5 Sweet Sixteen semi-automatic shotgun. Soft-shooting, reliable, easy to carry and natural to point, this one just might bring back some very sweet dreams for America's hunters and clays shooters.
