The KFI Monza bolt-action rifle is a newcomer on the scene, but if our testing is any indication, it's going to be here for a long time to come. Chambered in .308 Win. (with more calibers to come), the Monza is terrific for long-range precision shooters and big-game hunters alike. Boasting features that we're accustomed to seeing on rifles that retail for many times the price, our American Hunter testers noted that this $499 rifle is versatile, rugged and ergonomically well-engineered.
The Monza comes packed with adjustable controls so you can fine-tune it to your shape and style. Adjust the trigger pull weight between 5.3 lbs. and a near-telekinetic 2.2 lbs. The trigger’s length of pull (LOP) is adjustable between +- 9.5mm, and adjustable for creep and overtravel. Need a better cheekweld? The Monza makes it simple with an ergonomic, lightweight and durable cheekpiece that offers the perfect fit between shooting situations and alignment with the sights.
This rifle comes with a Mil STD 22mm Picatinny rail, but it’s also ready to install different types of mount bases if you choose to remove it. Its 2” Picatinny bipod mount is compatible with most accessories as well. At a mere 7.2 lbs., this rifle can go up a mountain with you just as easily as it can sit on a benchrest. Our testers found that it was exceptionally accurate and boasted a remarkably crisp, clean factory trigger.
The Monza is currently available in four finishes: Classic Black, Desert, Khaki, Bottomlands and Break-Up. All of them, regardless of barrel length, retail for the same price: $499.
