If there's any gun company that can go retro while still moving forward, it's Ruger. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the storied firearms manufacturer, and Ruger's celebrating with a special commemorative edition of its classic Mark IV semi-automatic pistol. In fact, the Mark IV is a direct, inline descendant of the Mark I, which debuted in 1949. How did the world learn about it? By reading American Rifleman magazine, of course! It's only natural that America's oldest, largest and best-respected gun magazine was the first place that Ruger appeared in print ... and it's also only natural that American Rifleman is celebrating this iconic handgun by dubbing it NRA's Gun of the Week!
