Stoeger's commitment to producing quality firearms at affordable prices continues with its latest release, the STR-9MC. This semi-automatic, striker-fired 9mm Luger handgun offers 11+1 capacity in a stagger-stack magazine array in a concealed-carry-ready size. (Compare this pistol to the size of our reviewer's hands and you'll see what we mean!) In this great video from our friends at American Rifleman, you'll get to see the STR-9MC in use on the range ... and why we're so impressed with it.
Perfected for self-defense, the Stoeger STR-9MC has a 3.1" barrel and measures a mere 6.1" long and 4.4" high with a flush-fit magazine installed. Unloaded, the gun weighs only 18.5 ozs. The Stoeger STR-9MC also includes fully adjustable sights (available across the entire line), as well as a flat-faced trigger with a built-in blade-style safety. It comes with a single-side magazine release, and two takedown tabs on either side of the frame allow the pistol to be fieldstripped for disassembly like Glock-pattern handguns.
The beauty of the STR9-MC is that it's effective right out of the box, but also includes a single-slot Picatinny accessory rail on the frame. A generous trigger-guard undercut makes it easy to seat the pistol low within a shooter's grip, reducing felt recoil and muzzle rise for faster, more accurate follow-up shots.
