It is said that the majority of self-defense situations happen when the aggressor is 7 yards or fewer from the defender. It's that "or fewer" that can make one uneasy—7 yards isn't much of a distance, and it doesn't give one much time to react. That's why when LMS Defense came to visit us at NRA Headquarters, the Shooting Illustrated staff leaped at the chance to undergo their signature "Zero Distance" pistol course. What did they learn?
