Whether you're an avid hunter or just someone whose suburban backyard receives a lot of whitetail attention, if you spend enough time watching whitetail deer, you're going to have some questions. Some of the behaviors they exhibit make perfect sense even if you don't know much about deer. Others, not so much. For example, you'd normally expect an herbivorous prey animal to flee any time it sees something that makes it nervous ... but they don't, always. Sometimes, they just stomp a hoof. Why?
